Read Community Feedback from the first Public Park Workshop

 

On Wednesday, December 9th, the community gathered together to discuss their vision for the new park system coming to Larimer / East Liberty. The meeting introduced the project to the community and gathered their input on what they would like to see in the park, from activities to stormwater management ideas. A wealth of useful information was collected that will help inform and shape the park's design. Read more about the park system and the feedback gained from the first workshop below.

Remembering Andre Fleming of East Liberty Kutz

 

We are sad to mark the passing of Andre Fleming who died on November 2, 2015 at the age of 45. Owner of the local barbershop, East Liberty Kutz, since 2001, Andre was a fixture in the community who will be sorely missed.

Oregon Company Looks to East Liberty For Home Base

Portland Oregon company, Schoolhouse Electric & Supply Co., a supplier for the new Ace Hotel, is in discussion with the URA to buy the former City of Pittsburgh detective's building at 206 N. Euclid Ave.

Deepen Your Understanding of Poverty at the Nov. 17th Poverty Simulation

 

Join us on November 17th from 6-8:30 pm for another eye-opening poverty simulation at Eastminster Church. Over the course of 2 and a half hours, you will have the opportunity to simulate what it's like to live in poverty for one month. You'll discover what it's like to deal with the stressors of everyday life when expenses are more than income.
