On Wednesday, December 9th, the community gathered together to discuss their vision for the new park system coming to Larimer / East Liberty. The meeting introduced the project to the community and gathered their input on what they would like to see in the park, from activities to stormwater management ideas. A wealth of useful information was collected that will help inform and shape the park's design. Read more about the park system and the feedback gained from the first workshop below.
The community meeting discussed the future of the Mellon's Orchard site, an area of land nestled between Euclid Ave. and Station St., which you might know as the current home of the East Liberty farmers market. The consultant group, Fu Wilmers Design, was commissioned by the Urban Redevelopment Authority to lead an engagement and planning process for this piece of land.
