Kelly Strayhorn Theater Presents Pittsburgh Premiere of "Private Places"

By
Kelly Strayhorn Theater

Drama in the work place - especially that experienced by flight attendants - and the need to manage their emotions are the inspirations for Private Places, a new dance performance piece by idiosynCrazy Productions.  Private Places will be performed on Friday, December 14 and Saturday, December 15 at 8 pm at The Alloy Studios located at 5530 Penn Avenue in Friendship.

Visceral, intense and intimate, Private Places pushes performance to imaginative new edges.  The creaters, Philadelphia -based idiosynCrazy Productions borrows from the explosive, high-powered movement of J-sette, a stylized hip hop dance form made popular in Beyonce's music video "Single Ladies." In this highly interactive production, the stage is set to resemble an airplace cabin and audience members are in the center of the action.  Seating is limited.  Performance contains nudity.

Tickets are $25 in advance; $35 at the door; $20 for residents of Zip code 15206 and $15 for Students and Artists.  To purchase tickets, visit www.kelly-strayhorn.org or call 412.363.3000.
